About The Job-
Located in Seattle WA, Osprey Aerial Systems LLC is aerospace engineering services firm and a newly added supplier to Boeing’s approved vendor list. We specialize in product development, R&D, and engineering support across commercial and defense platforms. As we grow, we are seeking an experienced done pilot to support upcoming Inspection work.
Overview -
Osprey Aerial Systems is seeking a certified and experienced FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot to perform aerial operations for [industry: inspections, mapping, marketing, etc.]. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safe and compliant flight operations, data collection, and post-mission reporting.
Key Responsibilities -
Plan, execute, and document commercial drone flights
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and client protocols
Conduct pre-flight inspections and follow safety checklists
Operate UAVs with precision in diverse environments
Process and deliver imagery or data in required formats
Maintain flight logs and maintenance records
Required Qualifications -
Active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
Proficiency in flying drones in manual and autonomous modes
Experience with mission planning software (e.g., DroneDeploy, Pix4D, DJI GS Pro)
Operate UAVs to capture aerial images, video, or data based on project scope
Plan flight paths, pre-flight checklists, and risk assessments
Process and deliver collected data (e.g., orthomosaics, inspection reports, 3D models)
Maintain UAV equipment, flight logs, and maintenance records
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, airspace authorization, and client-specific policies
Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, or project managers to meet data needs
Follow company safety protocols and documentation procedures
Liability insurance (or ability to obtain before project start)
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
Preferred Qualifications -
Access to commercial-grade drone equipment
Experience with photogrammetry, LiDAR, or thermal imaging
Knowledge of GIS tools or CAD platforms
Background in construction, infrastructure, utilities, or environmental monitoring
FAA Waivers (e.g., Night Operations, BVLOS)
Compensation:
Competitive pay range: $25–$75/hour or $50,000–$90,000/year (depending on experience)
Travel and equipment reimbursement (if applicable)

Compensation at Osprey Aerial Systems will target base pay for this position is $50,000–$90,000 annually. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
